Hear it first.
tapsplain builds a feedback page for your business, makes the QR card for your counter, and emails you every answer within a minute. $800 once. No monthly.
Full refund any time before we start building. Your page goes live within three business days of your intake form.
A minute at the counter, on their own phone.
- They scan the card. It sits in a stand at the till, on the door, or by the waiting chairs. The camera opens your page. No app, no login, nothing to install.
- They tap how it went. One tap on a face. Everything after that depends on the answer, so a good visit and a bad one lead to different questions.
- They answer a few things about your kind of business. Five to seven taps. A dental clinic asks about the wait and whether the cost was clear before treatment. An auto shop asks whether the bill matched the estimate. A small tapir claps twice along the way.
- They finish on a screen that fits the visit they had. Someone who had a good one gets a large button to share it on Google. Someone who didn't gets a button to have you get in touch, with the Google link plainly under it.
Try it yourself on your phone, or scan the QR code on the demo page.
The subject line is already the summary.
Every response arrives as its own email, colour-coded, with whatever the customer typed reproduced word for word. When someone asks for a call back, their name and number sit at the top and the subject line says URGENT, so it's the thing you read first between appointments.
Monday morning brings a digest of what moved: responses, average stars, the lowest-scoring question with its four-week trend, and the complaint people tapped most. On the first of the month you get the longer version, with a PDF you can print for the staff meeting.
These three are examples for an imaginary clinic. Your own emails carry your own customers' words.
One payment covers the first year.
- A page written for your business at tapsplain.com/your-name, with your questions, your colours and your logo.
- Two print-ready cards. Letter size for a wall or door, half letter for the counter stand. Print them anywhere, as often as you like.
- Every response by email within a minute.
- A weekly digest and a monthly report, for twelve months.
- One round of question changes in the first thirty days, free.
- Hosting for the year. Renewal after that is $240 if you want it, and nothing if you don't.
You can already ask for Google reviews. This is for the other conversation.
Asking a happy customer to post a review is easy, and you don't need us for it. The expensive customer is the one who waited forty minutes, said "no, it's fine" on the way out, and never came back.
They don't complain at the counter because complaining to someone's face is work, and they will probably never see you again anyway. Tapping a card is not work. That's the trade the whole thing rests on: one minute of somebody's thumb, in exchange for the sentence they were never going to say out loud.
Everyone can still reach your Google page.
Google's policies don't allow a business to show the review link only to happy customers, and it's the business that pays when they catch it: reviews removed, sometimes the whole block. So tapsplain doesn't filter who sees the link.
What changes is what's on the screen. A customer who had a bad visit sees a button to have you contact them first, with the Google link under it. You hear about it while there's still time to fix it. That's the name of the page, more or less: hear it first.
We don't write reviews, we don't offer anything in exchange for one, and we can't promise you a rating. What we can promise is that you'll know what your customers thought.
Questions owners ask
Can it keep bad reviews off Google?
No, and anything that claims to is a risk to your listing. tapsplain gets you the complaint first and gives the customer a way to reach you. Anyone can still post publicly.
Do customers have to install or sign up for anything?
No. They scan the card and the page opens in their browser. There's no app and no account.
How long does it take a customer?
About a minute, and five to seven taps. Your digest shows the real finish rate for your own customers, so you don't have to take our word for it.
What if nobody scans the card?
Your first digest tells you, in a number. The first thing to change is where the card sits: taped to the counter facing the customer, in the stand where people wait, or inside the exit door at eye level. If it's out in a good spot and still nothing, reply and tell us what's around it, and we'll change the card's headline for free.
What happens after the first year?
We email you a month before, then a week, then a day. Renewing is $240 for another year. Nothing is ever charged automatically. If you don't renew, the page pauses two weeks after your end date, nothing is deleted, and you can restart later.
What happens to my customers' details?
A name, phone or email is collected only when a customer asks you to get in touch. It goes to you, it's stored encrypted, and it's de-identified after 24 months. We don't sell it or share it, and the pages carry no advertising trackers. The full policy is on the privacy page.
